It's a little misleading to call The Big Fish "outside of Grand Rapids", as it's about 35 miles West of GR. It's closest to a teensy village called Bena, and about 18 miles east of Cass Lake.
Anyway.
It's very cool that you saw The Fish! The owner is a good friend of mine, and I eat there a lot when I'm ice fishing in the winter months. The restaurant is only open on weekends now, but the food is as good as ever!

The Big Fish Supper Club was closed. Udderwise, I would have stopped in for a closer inspection.
